Snowy weather (a December 2012 blizzard) caused this accident caught on a Iowa State Patrol cruiser’s dash camera.

A trooper is about to get out of his car to help a woman on Interstate 80 near Williamsburg. The camera in the trooper’s cruiser captures an 18-wheeler truck sliding, then jack-knifing into the patrol car.

The man you see inside the car in another motorist who had already been rescued from his car.

These guys are alive because they stayed in the car with seat belts on. Staying in your car with your seat belt on is not guaranteed to keep you alive but it’s better to have a steel cage around you then to be outside without.
